One of the Charity’s staunchest supporters is Lucy Barrett. In conjunction with her fellow London and Surrey Viz Whizzers, and her beautiful vizsla Otty, Lucy has raised many thousands of pounds for us and for other vizsla causes also. The charity has been especially grateful to Lucy for her donations to the genetic research in to Vizsla Inflammatory Polymyopathy (VIP)   – also known as Polymyositis. Otty was diagnosed with VIP in 2013 and the brave boy battled the disease for 2 years – usually managing to get the better of it with his indomitable spirit and always with the dedication and vigilance of his adoring mum.Sadly dear Otty lost his long fight on 10 October and the tributes that have poured in from all over the world are testimony to the profound affection and sense of loss that is felt in the vizsla community. Otty did so very much to raise awareness of VIP  – and for that the Charity will always feel grateful to this very special boy, His legacy will live for ever –

RIP darling Otty 26/3/06 – 10/10/15 – you will never be forgotten
