Usually the Charity manages to rehome surrendered Vizslas by placing them with people who have already submitted an adoption application. For some Vizslas though, we cannot immediately find a perfect fit, so with this page we hope to reach a wider base of prospective forever homes. These Vizslas do have great potential in the right hands but are definitely not for first time adopters, as they are work-in-progress dogs and will need experienced owners.

Some have come to us from other rehoming organisations, and may have been in kennels for several months. Some are ex breeding dogs, and have never lived in a home before. Some have behavioural problems or extreme reactivity issues, or have been destructive indoors…

**IF THERE ARE NO DOGS LISTED HERE THEN HAPPILY, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY SPECIAL NEEDS VIZSLAS AWAITING THEIR FOREVER HOME…

‘Freddie’ – male, 2 years, neutered

Freddie is a lovely dog with a very unsettled past who is now looking for an experienced and confident handler to take him on as a working dog – a proper working gundog in a pack, or perhaps a trainee sniffer/search dog. He is a very ‘drivey’ dog and will definitely need some kind of a job in order to keep him occupied and out of trouble! He is good with other dogs and much happier in a (nice warm!) kennel environment than he is in a home. He is currently in Scotland, he can be rehomed to anywhere in the UK, but prospective adopters will be asked to travel to meet him.

Freddie will be placed on a foster-to-adopt basis so we can be sure he has finally found his perfect home.
