The Charity rehomed Simba in May 2014 – as an elderly boy. This lovely vizsla died very suddenly on Friday 3rd April 2015 – he was happy to the end – having shortly before having had breakfast and a walk
Simba was an especial favourite of Helga’s who writes:
It is with great sadness, and a lot of tears, that I have to tell you we lost a very special Welfare boy on Good Friday. The lovely, gentle Simba crossed over the bridge after the best 11 months of his life, being treasured by Sam Jackson and husband Matt. He leaves behind two broken hearted humans, as well as his two doggy friends Max, and Jet.
Mara Baker who helped with transporting him from one end of the country, so I could then take him on the next leg, will also be sad to hear of Simba’s passing. He was a truly gentle, loving soul and I can only imagine how very much Sam will miss him. He may only have been around for a short time but the footprint that he has left is a giant one. Run Free over that bridge lovely Simba and know how very loved you are.
There are several ways you can support the charity, and not just by adopting or fostering a Vizsla.
