Ruta was loved in her previous home and her owner sadly died right next to her and the family were unable to cope with her as well as their terrible grief, so we were asked to help find her a home very quickly.
Thanks to another of our adopters, David J Mangan-Foudal, who volunteered to collect and foster her while his lovely boy Meno was still in the Veterinary hospital recovering from his operation, she was safely into experienced hands with David and partner, Said. We had on our adoption register a home that matched her needs perfectly, and with the help of David and Tricia Baker from the NE Viz Wizz group, home checks and travel assistance were all organised and as you can see from the photographs Ruta, and her new big sister Lyra, and her human family, are getting along famously!
This truly was a ‘team’ effort and the Charity is so appreciative of the support we have had from the Vizsla community.
Comments from new owners, The Pia Family
We now have a ‘sister’ for Lyra, Ruta, a 14 month rescue. She’s a fabulous dog, lovely friendly temperament, with a few rough edges in the training department. The two of them get on fantastically and play all the time – we are exhausted Here are a quick couple of photos of the two of them settled in at home.
Lyra is on the left and Ruta on the right! Thanks go to Helga Root from Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity for finding us this lovely dog, her foster carers David J Mangan-Foudal and Said Manganand to Trish and David (Mara Baker). Trish for her hard but fair home visit xxx and David for keeping me company on the drive to Clitheroe to meet and pick up Ruta
There are several ways you can support the charity, and not just by adopting or fostering a Vizsla.
