Hugo the Viz cross was advertised on our website in February 2016 and his adoring new owner has this lovely story to tell.
From the moment I saw Hugo’s picture on the FB page up for adoption, something in my heart told me he was meant to be in our home We contacted Helga but sadly we were too late, he had already been snapped up I told myself, maybe it wasn’t meant to be..but… A few days later, I had a phone call from Helga with word that Hugo was back up for adoption. My heart did a leapfrog and I knew that my earlier feelings were right, He WAS meant to be with us. We met Hugo’s previous owners ,who were beyond sad to let him go, but knowing that it was the best thing for him, brought him to see us. It was Valentines Day, and I fell in love even more. On that day, an angel in puppy form was brought to us. Hugo is my soul mate, to say a dog can complete you, sounds silly, but, he does. In 2015, we lost our wonderful spotty dog Wally, but from the moment I saw Hugo, I knew, Wally had sent us a gift. Wally had helped my partner heal after losing someone close in the Boxing day Tsunami, he was with us for 11 years, had earned his pup wings, and now it was our turn, and Hugo was sent to us. From the moment he arrived, it was like he had been here all his life. Our ginger was beside himself with excitement, he had a chum again, and the spirit in the house just lifted. My days are filled with Hugo cuddles, Hugo kisses and both my beautiful handsome dogs keep me company in my workshop all day Some things in this life are just meant to be, for whatever reason, to teach us, to help us grow, to heal, who knows, but Hugo, currently with his paw and chin on my knee, is teaching me what love is, and its Chocolate coloured and covered in fur xx
There are several ways you can support the charity, and not just by adopting or fostering a Vizsla.
