We rely on YOUR generous donations.

The Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity relies upon upon your donations in order to continue supporting any Vizsla's that come into our care. Thanks to everyone who donates, these Vizsla's are given the opportunity to blossom in their new forever homes. Below are the links for our donation pages via PayPal and Virgin Money. If you would prefer to make a donation direct to the charity's bank account please contact Sue Millson and she will provide the charity's bank details.

The Charity

When you donate to the links below, your generous contributions allow the charity to transport dogs nationwide to their new forever homes, thanks to our fantastic volunteers who give up their valuable time to do so. Your donations also help pay for veterinary care and operations, some of them life saving, that could otherwise result in these dogs having no life at all.

Vizsla Inflammatory Polymyopathy

The Vizsla has a predisposition to an immune mediated disease called “Vizsla Inflammatory Polymyopathy” which you can read about here.

For the past 7 years the Charity has been able to contribute generously to the genetic research of VIP, thanks to the amazing UK Vizsla community. The money donated contributes to the investigation of how it might be possible to reduce the incidence of this life threatening disease. Most of the donations go directly to the geneticists, but some vet bills and significant autopsies have been paid for thanks to these generous donations.

Rehabilitation

Over the past couple of years, the charity has seen an influx of Vizslas with behavioural problems ranging from aggression to obsessive behaviour. By donation to the rehabilitation fund, this money will go specifically towards behaviourists that provide one – to – one care for these Vizslas, and their adoptive owners, for as long as they need, whether they be in foster care or with their new families.

Volunteer

There are several ways in which fellow Vizsla owners can help the Charity in its rehoming efforts. See also our adopt and foster pages. Volunteers are always needed. If you have breed experience and can offer assistance in picking up, collecting, relaying or home checking then we would love to hear from you.
